It's true, I watched it 2 times tonight and DVR'd it. I am a single parent to a 16 year old son, and after watching this movie, I would sign him up to be a part of the Marshall community anyday. We are from a small city in Iowa and some of our family from a small town in Illinois, and until you have grown up in a place like this, you really cannot appreciate or understand that feelings these people went through. I thought the movie was great, wish I hadn't waited so long to see it!
We bought the "We are Marshall" DVD and have watched it a few times. If you want to do yourself a favor, please watch the movie. It's tastefully presented, and, even though it might evoke a few tears, you'll come away from it with a wonderful feeling of community and will understand that even in the face of adversity, it's important for folks to go on.
